Andrew had a goal of riding his bike up Sandia peak this summer. The bike ride is 12 miles up hill with a 3,000 rise in elevation. On Saturday he did it with Tim, a friend from our ward. Ariel (Tim's wife), the babies and I were the support car.
At the beginning
We had lunch at the ski resort, about half way. Even though Andrew emailed out pictures of me right after Riley was born and I looked the worst I have ever looked in my life, I decided to be a nice wife and not post the pictures of him at this point. He looked pretty awful.
Instead here is Riley eating an apple under the bench.
2 miles to go
According to Andrew the last 10 feet were the hardest. Here it is.
We hung out at the top for a little while, Riley decided to go rock climbing.
We ended at Tinkertown.
Andrew said that riding up this mountain was comparable to running the marathon. It was really hard and I'm really proud of him.
Awesome!! way to go. It sounds like a great was to spend a Saturday before you head out on a big road trip. I love the photos. And yes, you are a nice wife!
