Catching up

Here are some nice pictures of what we've been doing lately.

Superheroes

Testing out our new tent

Ward Campout Hail Storm

We braved the night.  Riley slept great. Tanner not so much.

Our poor child didn't know what a snow cone was.  Now he does.

He did this puzzle by himself. 24 pieces.  He was pretty proud.

Apparently this is what it looks like when the sunrises.  I wake up too early to see it -- some people are not sleeping through the night at our house -- then I sleep through it.

To the average person this looks like a pile of slop, but to a New Mexican, it is a crucial part of every food. Our roasted Hatch Green Chiles.

The boys and I went on a trip to Utah while Andrew had a work trip in Yuma, Arizona.  I wasn't going to stay at home if I didn't have to.  :)  Here we are on the plane.  You are probably thinking that I am so brave to fly with just me and my boys, but it was way easy!  I never want to drive anywhere ever again.

Carrot digging

Train track building

Swinging

Napping on Gram

We made zucchini boats and floated them down the canal.

Then we played at the park.  These guys match.

"I have that picture at my house"- Riley

Ogden Temple Open House.  So pretty!  Riley didn't like the foot covers.

Uncle Bryce is so fun!
Bed Hog

This is what Andrew was doing while we were having all our fun

Then Andrew drove up to hang out with us.  Volleyball pit.

Bear Lake the day after Labor day.  We had the beach to ourselves.

Sand Castle destroyer

Riley probably rode this bus for 5 hours

Collecting the Fire Trucks at Grandma's

We got to visit one of our friends who spent the summer in Albuquerque.

Hiking

USU Football game.  Riley loves football and has been asking to go to a game for 6 months.

Then we drove home.  The boys slept most of the way.  YAY!

Riley went to the dentist again.  He was really excited, despite the very nervous look on his face.  He even got x-rays.  He did great and got a cupcake because it was the dentist's birthday.

This guy wants to walk.  I think it will be another few weeks, but he's only 9 months.  Apparently most kids don't walk this early. . .

Foam blocks at the Science Center.

There is so much fun stuff to do, and we always end up wasting a ton of time with circuits and resistors. I try to make him leave, but he loves it.

Trapped in the step stool

One of our favorite parks was closed all summer and just reopened last week.  Yay!

Riley pushes Tanner in the swing now.  So basically I don't have to do anything, except take pictures.

  1. This post reminded me how sad I am that you guys moved. Glad you're having fun! Lucy started walking at 9 months. Definitely makes it hard to find good shoes for the winter that fit her and were water proof. Good luck! Haha.
