I'm not 100% sure that having a birthday in December is all that great. Andrew says it's not bad, I'm not so sure I believe him. But there are a lot of good things about having a baby in December.
- After taking a week or so off of work when the baby is born, it's Christmas, so your husband gets even more time off of work. Andrew had an entire month off after Riley was born, and 3 weeks with Tanner.
- You get a nice tax deduction, even though you only had the baby for a couple days
- No one judges you if you don't leave your house for three months because it's so cold
- If you do want to leave your house you can cover up your leftover baby fatness with a nice coat or sweatshirt
- You don't have to travel for Christmas, some people may even come to you
- You can announce your pregnancy to your mom as a Mother's day present
- When people bring you dinner they bring you tasty Christmas candy and treats
- It doesn't get light outside until almost 7:00, so your other kid might sometimes sleep in a little, or at least you can convince him to go back to sleep if it's 6:00
- If you make a New Year's Resolution to lose weight, it's pretty easy if you are breastfeeding. I personally have lost 5 pounds since the beginning of the year and I'm mostly just sitting on the couch and feeding the baby
- You could be in a nativity
As you can see, having a baby in December isn't all that bad
Sounds like a great idea. I'll have to try it!
