Oregon Vacation

It had been a whole month since Riley had been on an airplane and he was feeling a little deprived.  Ok, that's kind of a lie.  We had this trip planned before anyone decided they were going to get married.    We spent the week in Seaside, Oregon with our friends from Pittsburgh, the Wagners.

We left early last Tuesday, flew from Albuquerque to Salt Lake City.  Riley threw up on me.  Riley changed his clothes, I put on some of Andrew's because mine were in the checked bag and then we flew from Salt Lake to Portland.

We drove down the Columbia River Gorge and looked at waterfalls.

That evening we went to the beach.

The second day we went to the aquarium.  

Then we went to a candy store with 170 flavors of taffy

And Riley rode a carousel 

The third day we drove to Tillamook

Riley learned a lot about how to make cheese

The next day we went to Indian beach and looked at tide pools, but mostly we took a bunch of pictures of Riley

When we got home Riley got to eat a lollipop on the beach

We went to Astoria the next day and we threw airplanes off the tower.

The full day in Seaside was the nicest and the only day with any sun.  Riley went rock climbing and Andrew threw him high in the sky.

The last day we went to Portland and went to the Children's Museum.  

It was a great trip!
