10 1/2 weeks old!

I was going to post something when Riley turned 2 months old, but that obviously didn't happen.  So here we are at almost 11 weeks.  Oh well

Riley Stats
Weight: 13 pounds 1 ounce (on February 24)
Weight of car seat with Riley in it: about 25 pounds
Size of Lindsay's biceps from carrying him up and down 3 flights of stairs: HUGE! Well, pretty big compared to what they have looked like :)
Length: 24.5 inches

Clothes size: 0-3 month, but not for long
Eyes:  Starting to look blue!
Sleeping: He's a night owl-- wonder where that came from.  For about a month now he won't stay asleep until 2:00 at night.  The last few nights he has slept from about 2:00 to 7:00, then eats and falls right back to sleep until 10:00.  Then in the day he sleeps when he wants.  Oh, and at night he sleeps in his car seat- that's where he will stay asleep.  That probably means we are bad parents but I don't care.

New Skills:
  • Smiling (for a few weeks now)
  • He can get his hands to his mouth to suck on them
  • He is also making a lot of new sounds
  • Drooling- so much drooling (I don't really know if that's a skill, more like a fact)
  • He's very aware at what is going on
  • His legs are strong, and he wants to be able to sit.  According to the doctor he acts like a 4 month old.  We will soon need to worry about baby proofing our apartment, not too excited about that.

Favorite things:
  • His binky

  • Anything with a screen
Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it

  • Helping fold the clothes

  • Spitting up and then rubbing his face in it

 He's getting more fun everyday!

  2. Cute owl shirt! Also, I love the laundry pictures. :)

Chloe doesn't sleep until between 2 and 4am. Everyone tells me I need to "train" her, but really...aside from church (which is at 9am), I have nowhere I have to be, so her late night-late morning sleep schedule doesn't really bother me much.

    1. Someone in our ward made it. It's my favorite thing that fits him now.

I don't have anywhere to go either, so it doesn't bother me much. And with daylight savings it won't even be that bad. Especially in ABQ
