18 months!

Riley turned 18 months on Father's Day.  It was basically the best Father's Day of my life because Riley went to nursery!  Andrew took him and picked him up.  He didn't want to leave and according to the nursery leaders he seemed as if he'd always been there.

Riley is so much fun right now.  He loves to be outside. He loves trucks, airplanes, motorcycles, cars, buses, and trains.  He is also an animal lover.  He can make about 20 different animal sounds and is always pointing out birds, dogs and the occasional cat to me.

He loves the park.

He likes other kids.  He likes to act like older kids and likes to help little ones.

He loves technology.

Nap time and Bedtime are usually some of his favorite times of day.  (Basically the best thing that ever happened to me)

He likes to help and can understand most things I say to him.

He likes most fruits, vegetables, pasta, crackers, and cheese.  He won't eat any kind of meat (not even hot dogs, which hardly count anyway).

He weighs just over 26 pounds and he's about 34 inches tall.

He likes to tickle and tease me.

He lines up his toy cars like they are in a parking lot.

He likes to point out every Exit sign wherever we are.

He says a few words and is really close on a lot more, we suspect he will be a chatterbox in the next little while.

We love Riley and are glad to have him in our family

Jessica's Wedding in Atlanta

Last Tuesday we hopped on an airplane and flew to Atlanta.  Riley slept on the plane.  He was great.  With his recently obsession with EXIT signs and love of airplanes the airport was a pretty exciting place to be.  We got there in the evening and Riley was excited to see his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Thursday we went to Legoland.  It was a little hard to know who was having more fun, Andrew or Riley.

Andrew started making a tower and then a lot of kids started to help.  It ended up being about 10 feet tall and he had about 8 kids helping him.  

The wedding was on Friday.  It was really nice.  We only had pictures from the reception.  These were some favorites.

Saturday we went to the aquarium.  We loved it!

It was a fun trip.  I promise I was there, but we didn't have any photographic evidence of it, except for a few backlit pictures in the aquarium.  

House

We put an offer on a house last week and they accepted.  It is in the perfect place!  Great ward, great schools, close to the church and close to friends.  It's a two story 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home that's got a lot of updates, in a cul-de-sac, with a fantastic yard.  We love it!  We are doing the inspection this week and we should be able to move in just after the 4th of July.

Maybe we will finally feel like grown ups after we are all moved it.
