Glad to be home

Riley and I had a good rest of our trip in Utah.  I had a great time at my friend Jacki's wedding, but I didn't take any pictures. . . Oh well.  But we are glad to be home, Andrew is pretty happy too.  There's just something about letting your kid run around in your own house that you've specifically baby proofed for him.  Knowing that he won't suddenly walk into the room with a mouth-full of dog food, fall down the stairs, or break something valuable brings much piece of mind.

Riley wearing Andrew's helmet backwards.  Also showing me how old he is (one of my favorite of his tricks)

The swimming pool at our apartment complex has been undergoing construction, luckily we were gone for most of the jackhammering.  They have blocked off about seven parking spaces and have been filling them up with the junk they have been removing.  On Friday they were moving it away,  Riley sat in our bedroom window and watched for at least 30 minutes.  I have never seen him so still in his whole life.  He also may have learned a little Spanish.

This is from a few weeks ago, but I thought it was cute

Visit to Utah

Riley and I are visiting Utah right now.  We came up for my sister's reception on March 30 and are staying until after my friend Jacki's wedding on April 13.  It's a pretty long trip.  We weren't planning on seeing Andrew until we got back.  But he made a surprise visit late Thursday night.  It was actually a little scary because he just walked into the room I was sleeping in.  But I was happy to see him.  He spent the weekend and went home yesterday.

The only thing I've really taken pictures of is when Riley, Bryce, my mom, and I went to Baby Animal Days on Thursday.  Riley had a great time.  It was especially fun when he tried to make the sounds of the animals.

Petting so many animals is very tiring
